Virginie Arslan works as a Counsellor at the Embassy of Luxembourg in Turkey, covering political issues. This includes Turkey’s domestic affairs, foreign policy, human rights, Turkey-EU relations and the response to the refugee crisis. She participated in the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2015. She has previously worked for the EU Delegation in Turkey and at the Embassy of France in Turkey as an economic analyst. She is involved in the Jean Monnet programme in Turkey. Arslan graduated from the Institute of Political Sciences of Strasbourg and from the Sorbonne University in Paris. She was the Turkish women champion in triathlon in 2016 in her age group.
