Creating economic opportunities – Private sector development in the Maghreb

Short biography

During his fellowship year, Stefan Brantschen explores how private sector activities in the Maghreb can be strengthened. In the past, he worked in political and economic affairs for the Swiss diplomatic mission in Japan, as well as for a non-profit-organization in Switzerland, where he focused on sustainable supply chains. Stefan holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and studied Political Science, Economics and Public Law at the University of Zurich. Two semesters abroad took him to both the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Medford, MA, USA, and Sciences Po in Bordeaux, France.
