Short biography

Sibel Atasayi (25) studied Psychology and Social Policy at the Heidelberg University and the Woodrow Wilson School for International and Public Affairs in Princeton. As part of the Bertelsmann Foundation leadership program she completed a training as a democracy and conflict trainer at the Center for Applied Policy Research at the University Munich and at the Adam Institute for Democracy and Peace in Jerusalem. During her Mercator year she explored strategies for Good Governance as a possible foundation for a democratic change in the Middle East, based on the example of Lebanon. Sibel Atasayi now works at the Berghof Foundation in Berlin.
