Sezin Derici is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Sezin Dereci is Project Coordinator at the Civil Society Law Reform Department of the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV). She aims to strengthen enabling environments for CSOs and promotes mechanisms to increase civil society participation in the policy making process. She formulates and implements multi-party projects, conducts policy analysis and forms and sustains collaborations with stakeholders to give direction to civil society policies of the Turkish government, the European Commission and others. Sezin holds a PhD from the University of Bremen, Germany. In her doctoral studies she analyzed the changing roles of NGOs and economic interest groups in the EU Accession process of Turkey. She graduated with a BA in Political Science from Istanbul Bilgi University and holds a MSc in Public Administration from University of Twente.
