Sena Staufer is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Sena Staufer is the Media and Communications Specialist in the
Berlin office of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) leading efforts to elevate the institutions profile in Germany and Europe, create communications opportunities, and leverage GMF’s events and activities in Germany.

Prior to joining GMF, she was a public affairs consultant at Burson Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications firm, heading the public diplomacy practice. In her role, she provided strategic communications and political advice to a wide range of actors from companies to government organizations, acting as a liaison between political stakeholders, media, and the German public.

She has previous work experience in NGOs like Amnesty International in Istanbul and think tanks like the Centre for Applied Policy Research in Munich.

She holds a Master of Laws Degree in International Law and Security Studies from Vrije University in Amsterdam and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Peace & Conflict Studies at London Metropolitan University with semesters abroad in Chicago and Istanbul.
