Sena Staufer is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Sena Staufer is currently a desk officer at the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), advising on compliance issues in crisis contexts, including fraud, corruption, and sexual miscondut. Previously, she managed media and cultural projects in the MENA region for the GFFO.
Before joining the ministry, she was media and communications specialist at the German Marshall Fund (GMF) in Berlin, where she led strategic outreach and elevated the organization’s profile in Germany and Europe. Earlier, she headed the public diplomacy practice at Burson-Marsteller, advising public and private sector clients on strategic communications and political engagement.
Sena has also worked with NGOs such as Amnesty International in Istanbul and think tanks like the Centre for Applied Policy Research in Munich.
She holds an LL.M. in International Law and Security from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a BA in International Relations and Peace & Conflict Studies from London Metropolitan University, with study abroad in Chicago and Istanbul.
