Short biography

Sebastian Alexander Ernst, born 1985, completed his law degree at Bucerius Law School. He gathered first professional experience with the German Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Subsequently, he studied economics and energy studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and worked for EnBW AG’s Corporate Strategy Team. As a Mercator fellow, Sebastian will work on off-grid electricity solutions for rural electrification in Sub-Sahara Africa.
