The Potential of Accelerator Programs in International Development

Short biography

Rim is passionate about food security, gender and innovation in international development. During the Mercator Fellowship, she works on how accelerators can support start-ups and entrepreneurs in Africa to improve the development, testing and scaling of innovative solutions that create positive and sustainable impact. She holds two master’s degrees from Sciences Po Paris and Bocconi University in International Development and Economics and Management. She has gained professional working experiences at the UN World Food Programme, GIZ, KfW, European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO), local NGOs and acquired field experiences in Eastern and Western Africa focusing on female farmers.
