Changing geopolitical realities, technological advancement, economic interdependence, and a range of transnational challenges are reshaping the strategic calculus of EU-India relations, even as the larger rules based liberal order is being challenged by changing power equations between all actors. It is in this context that this project aims to analyse and reimagine partnerships between likeminded actors – European Union-India, within the context of an evolving multipolar world order. To examine how shifting global geopolitical and geoeconomic dynamics are influencing Europe and India to reconfigure their strategic partnership in the evolving multipolar arena since the last decade. Second, to focus on emerging areas of convergence and divergence in their political, economic, and security relations. Third, identify critical sectors that are going to be crucial in enhancing the bilateral relations. The project seeks to contribute to both scholarly understanding and practical policymaking by providing a comprehensive framework for reimagining Europe-Asia partnership in an era of strategic competition and complex interdependence in a rapidly evolving geopolitical arena.
