Pierre Krenn

As a Mercator Fellow, Pierre Krenn works on the integration and interconnection of renewable energies in the sectors of electricity, transport and heat as well as on the question of how to achieve a better exchange between politics and research. Before dealing with the issue of energy efficiency at the Fraunhofer Institute, he worked for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Tunisia to strengthen the solar energy market. Further stations led him to the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin and to the Representation of Bavaria to the EU in Brussels. Pierre completed a German-French double degree with specialization in International Relations at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Sciences Po Rennes and Sciences Po Strasbourg.
