Pelumi Olusanya

As a Mercator Fellow, Pelumi Olusanya investigates the relations between family planning and population dynamics in West Africa. Her goal is to design evidence-based policies and strategies. She is passionate about health and advocates in particular the improvement of maternal and child health. As part of her career, Pelumi, aims to strengthen the rights of girls and women and to support sustainable demographic development. She has previously worked in Togo, Sierra Leone, and Nepal for Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Kindernothilfe and Action Medeor. Pelumi holds an M.Sc. in Global Health from Maastricht University and a B.A. in Public Health from the University of Bremen.
