Project description

Oliver Rieche is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Oliver Rieche is an associate at global law firm Reed Smith LLP in London, currently working in the Environment, Health and Safety department. He also co-chairs the firm’s LGBT+ network ‘PRISM’. Prior to commencing his legal career, Oliver worked on Western Balkan issues at the European External Action Service in Brussels. He gained further professional experience at the German Embassy in the Dominican Republic, a political think tank in Washington, D.C., and at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kuala Lumpur. As a member of several youth leadership communities, including Sandbox, One Young World and Global Changemakers, Mr Rieche has a keen interest in civic society. He, for example, represented the voice of the German youth as Head Delegate of the German delegation during the G20 Youth Summit. Oliver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law with Politics (University of Manchester) and two Master’s degrees in Public International Law (University of Cambridge) and Commercial Legal Practice (BPP University, London).
