Project title

Inclusion of local elites and power structures into development policy in areas of limited statehood

Short biography

Nora Rathje completed her Sociology and International Relations Bachelor from the University College Maastricht and the Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. Subsequently, she received a Master’s degree in Global Governance and Ethics at University College London. She gained her first professional experiences with the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations and the German Development Agency (GIZ) in Manila. Most recently, she was working as Junior Project Manager for a transnational NGO. During her fellowship, she seeks to explore the possibilities and conditions for the involvement of local elites and power structures in contexts of fragility.
