Project title

Warfare in the Digital Age: reviewing the role of international legal norms for conflict prevention in cyberspace

Short biography

Nikolas Ott studied international relations at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University) and political science at the Freie Universität Berlin and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Nikolas gained professional experience at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, the Dean’s Office of the Hertie School of Governance and the German Federal Foreign Office. In recent years, he was co-chair of the annual European Conference at Harvard University and a member of the board of the United Nations Association of Germany in Berlin. As a Mercator Fellow, Nikolas will be reviewing the role of international legal norms and confidence-building measures to reduce and control conflict in cyberspace.
