Social Media as Anti-Corruption Instruments

Short biography

Niklas Kossow from Cologne studied European Social and Political at University College London (UCL), in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Subsequently, he graduated with a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. In his studies he focused on international relations, the post-Soviet sphere and Russia, as well as on topics of anti-corruption. He gained work experience with the German Foreign Office, the German Bundestag, Transparency International and the German Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs. As a Mercator Fellow he is looking at the use of social media in the fight for more transparency and against corruption.
