Project title

Religion as peace maker: added value and opportunities of religious actors’ involvement in peace and development processes

Short biography

Marina Doelker studied governance and public policy at the Universität Passau, then peace studies and international relations at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and the University of Haifa. She gained professional experience, inter alia, at Bread for the World and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. She also worked for a local peace-education NGO in Kosovo and has volunteered for youth education and refugee projects in Germany, the US, Brazil and Kenya. As a Mercator Fellow, Marina will explore the role of religious actors in peace and development processes.
