As a Mercator Fellow, Marie Schröter seeks international solutions to atypical radicalization processes and the preventive use of AI without violating the right to privacy. Marie graduated at the University of Haifa, Israel in MA Political Science and Security Studies with a thesis on the usage of Twitter by German militant Islamists. Prior, she worked three years at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung London, covering also Brexit and EU Common Security and Defence Policy. Marie worked in the German Bundestag, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Delhi and a political consultancy. Marie volunteered one year in India, before she obtained a BA in Political Science at the Free University Berlin and University of Kent, UK.
