Luisa Seeling is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Luisa Seeling is a journalist currently working for the foreign policy section of the Munich-based newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ). She publishes mainly on Turkish politics and society, Turkey-Europe relations and migrant communities in Germany. Luisa began working for SZ in 2013 through a journalistic trainee programme. Her prior experience includes working for the Berlin-based think tank German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the foreign policy magazine Internationale Politik (IP). She has been freelancing for DIE ZEIT and as a translator for Cicero and Weltkiosk Verlag. In 2012 she was awarded the Johannes Rau Bursary by the International Journalists Programmes (IJP) and spent two months with the Istanbul-based newspaper Radikal Gazetesi. Luisa holds a B.A. in European Studies from the University of Maastricht and a M.A. in International Relations from the Free University Berlin. In 2005 she spent a semester in Istanbul.
