Len von Scherenberg, born 1984, holds a degree in Water Management Engineering and completed an extra-curricular course in Latin-American Studies at Dresden University of Technology. Len is a board member of the students’ organisation ‘Commit to Partnership’ Dresden, focusing on international cooperation. After working and studying in Nicaragua, Argentina and India, he lived in Cape Town for three years acting as a consultant in hydrogeology and groundwater management. Aiming for sustainability, his Mercator project will explore various technical and administrative tools required to manage groundwater resources in arid and semiarid countries.
