Laura Lale Kabis-Kechrid is a policy analyst and program officer for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) program of the German Council on Foreign Relations. From January until May 2019 she also served as acting head of the program. She works on Turkish domestic and foreign policies with a focus on EU-Turkey relations and is involved in the MENA projects focusing on North Africa. In addition to her work at the DGAP, Laura is a member of the Borjomi Innovators Network and is an alumna the Muslim Jewish Conference. She graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a First Class Honours MA in an interdisciplinary program in history and international relations. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Humboldt University and a second MA in international relations from Dubrovnik International University.
