Konrad Sternisko works as policy officer for Turkey in the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). As such, he coordinates, commissions and monitors large-scale programmes for Syrian refugees and their host communities in Turkey and is involved in strategic decision-making processes at capital level. He also represents the German government in several donor groups at EU-level. Previously, his work focused on Sub-Saharan Africa where he lived and worked several times. Konrad holds an MA in Political Sciences, having followed an integrated German-French study programme at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and the Instituts d‘Études Politiques of Rennes and Lille.
