The Integration of Germans of Migrant Origin and Internationalization at Universities: A Project for Bridging the Gap

Project description

Jeffrey Peck is exploring how German universities could better link and integrate international students and Germans of migrant origin in order to better understand how their presence can contribute to intercultural understanding. To this end he is analysing diversity strategies and drawing up action recommendations.

Short biography

Jeffrey Peck is Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and Vice Provost for Global Strategies, Baruch College, City University of New York. The College has been named one of the most diverse campuses in the United States. He has taught at several universities in both the U.S. and Canada and has held the Walter Benjamin Chair in German-Jewish Culture and History at Humboldt-University Berlin. Jeffrey Peck has written extensively on issues of diversity and difference, based on his experience in Germany, France and North America.
