Project description

James Rydge’s research areas include green growth, international agreements and energy and climate policy in developed and developing countries. He is a Dahrendorf postdoctoral fellow in the working group ‘Economics and Climate Change’.

Short biography

James Rydge is the lead economist for the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In this role he worked closely with Lord Nicholas Stern, collaborating across a wide range of research areas, including on the economics of the low-carbon transition. He has also worked in corporate finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sydney and in debt markets at the Bank of New York Mellon in London. James holds a master’s in finance and a PhD in economics from the University of Sydney.
