Golian Ezdin Berhim has successfully graduated high school and is currently preparing for university. Creativity, for her, means more than artistic expression – she sees it as a way to make social issues visible and to bring people together. For many years, she has volunteered in youth and educational work. As a youth group leader, she is committed to social participation, democracy, cultural exchange, and empowering young people. Promoting intercultural dialogue as well as advocating for human rights and education are especially important to her.
As a Yazidi with her own experience of displacement, it is a major concern of hers to build bridges between people of different backgrounds and to foster an open, respectful coexistence. Through meet! Europe, she hopes to gain new perspectives, learn from other committed people, and actively contribute to shaping European exchange.
Golian Ezdin Berhim completes her short-time work placement at the More in Common organisation in Berlin, Germany.
