Florian Lewerenz from Bonn completed his diplomas in Political Sciences at the Free University of Berlin and Science Po in Grenoble. The focus of his studies was peace and conflict research as well as development cooperation in the region of Latin America. As a Mercator Fellow, his project focused on international drug policy, precisely on the concept of alternative development as an approach to change the framework conditions of drug economies. Since 2013 Florian Lewerenz works at the GIZ in Eschborn.
