Fabian Hinz

Fabian Hinz studied Political Science and Islamic Studies at the University of Freiburg and the University of Esfahan. Subsequently, he acquired a master’s degree in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin, the Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of Potsdam and the American University of Beirut. During his studies he gained professional experience at the German Parliament, the German Embassy in Yerevan, the Federal Foreign Office and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Lebanon. As a Mercator Fellow, he will focus on the challenges to the nonproliferation regime of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons currently arising in the Middle East.
