Project description

Deniz Ova is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Deniz Ova has been working as a Director of Istanbul Design Biennal for the Istanbuld Foundation for Culture and Art (IKSV) since 2013. She is a part-time lecturer in cultural management. Between 2007 and 2013, she was head of the International Projects Department of the KSV, developing and organizing festivals and events in various European cities. Among other things, Deniz coordinated the Turkish Pavilion for the International Art and Architecture Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia, as well as the Residency Program and Artist Studio "Turquie" in Paris at the Cité Inernational des Arts. Most recently, she organized Turkey’s participation in the London Design Biennale. Prior to her work at the KSV, Deniz worked as an assistant director in numerous theatre productions at the Staatstheater Stuttgart. She graduated from the University of Stuttgart in political science and linguistics. Deniz is a Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar.
