Short biography

Christoph Vogel studied Political Science, African Studies, and Media Studies at Cologne University as well as Peace and Conflict Studies at Makerere University Kampala. He has been working on issues related to armed conflict and humanitarian aid in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Burundi, Haiti, and at the United Nations. Recently, he authored a study entitled Operational Stalemate or Politically Induced Failure? On the Dynamics Influencing Humanitarian Aid in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. During his Mercator Fellowship, he is pursuing a project on humanitarian challenges in the framework of integrated UN peacekeeping missions.
