Christel Scheske completed an MSc in Conservation Science at Imperial College London, and previously attained an MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology at the University of Cambridge. She worked with the Marine Programe of UNEP-WCMC in Cambridge, and collaborated with Fauna & Flora International for her MSc project in Indonesia. During her time as a Mercator Fellow, she will be exploring the links between marine and coastal biodiversity conservation and poverty alleviation.
