Aske Bonde is a diplomat with expertise on EU neighbourhood and enlargement policies. He has worked extensively on Turkish politics both at the Danish embassy in Ankara and in the Türkiye Division of the EU’s External Action Service. Aske has previously been in charge of Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership countries in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. His trajectory is highly international having also worked in Jordan, Burkina Faso and Switzerland. Aske studied international and development studies at Simon Fraser University in Canada and at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies in Geneva. He is passionate about mountains and intercultural understanding.
