Aske Bonde works as Political Officer in the Turkey division of the European External Action Service in Brussels. He closely follows overall political relations between the EU and Turkey through areas ranging from energy cooperation to human rights, and through engaging stakeholders in Brussels and Ankara. Prior to Brussels, Aske was based in Jordan working for the UN Relief and Works Agency dealing with policy analysis pertaining to the Syria crisis. He also worked on governance and security projects at the Danish Embassy in Burkina Faso. Earlier he co-founded an association promoting international student mobility. Aske studied international and development studies at Simon Fraser University in Canada and at the Graduate School for International and Development Studies in Geneva.
