Anna Katharina Stahl is a research fellow at the EU-China Research Centre of the College of Europe in Bruges. She focuses on the political and economic relations between the European Union (EU) and China, as well as on Chinese development assistance and China-Africa cooperation. Before joining the College of Europe, Anna worked as a doctoral researcher at the Institute for European Studies of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where she completed a PhD thesis on the trilateral relations between the EU, China and Africa. Anna holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe and a French-German double degree in political science and public law from the Institute d’Etudes Politiques de Lille and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. In addition to her academic work, Anna gained professional experience at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Council of Europe and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
