Anna Damaskou is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Dr Anna Damaskou is Compliance professional & Data Protection Officer in the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank (an international organization – regional multilateral development Bank), as well as the Chair of the Board of Transparency International Greece (pro bono voluntary work), after having served as a researcher for the organization for a number of years.

Anna has carried out post-doctoral research at the University of Luxembourg in the fields of European financial criminal law and European Banking Law; she holds a PhD from Queen Mary University of London in the field of European financial criminal law, as well as an LLM from the London School of Economics & Political Science, where she specialized in banking and financial law.

Prior to her recruitment to her current position, Anna served in national and EU regulators/supervisors of the banking and financial sectors, as well as in banking institutions in Greece and abroad.

Anna has published extensively in the areas of good governance and anti-corruption.
