Anitta Hipper works as an international relations expert at the European Commission, DG Migration and Home affairs where she is responsible for the justice and home affairs towards Turkey, the Western Balkans and Ukraine. Anitta contributes to political developments and the implementation of existing commitments with Turkey, in particular as regards to the EU-Turkey Statement and visa dialogue and is in charge of the relations with the Western Balkans and the implementation of the Western Balkan Strategy. Prior to this Anitta has worked for the European Parliament and has been trained as a scholar at the University of Freiburg, Germany, where she studied Political Science and Public Law and completed her PhD.
