The project aims to shed greater light on the nature and implications of the interplay between Germany and Turkey, focusing on the EU accession process. It will explore whether and how the two countries play a dominant role in the West Balkan region with regard to EU accession.
Since 2007, Alida Vracic has been the director and a co-founder of Populari, a think tank based in Sarajevo. Prior to founding Populari, Alida worked with the European Stability Initiative on projects related to judicial and economic issues. She has also led several Balkan-wide projects at the Human Rights Centre at Sarajevo University and at the Spanish Institutional Programme to promote institutional judicial cooperation between ombudsmen, bar associations and associations of judges in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the region.
