Alexis Rayon is an intelligence and investigations consultant based in Paris, currently working at Control Risks. Since 2020, he has led investigations across the EMEA region, focusing on financial crime, regulatory breaches, and compliance failures within corporate groups, financial institutions, international organizations, and NGOs.
A graduate in International Relations from Sciences Po Lille, Alexis teaches an elective course on investigations and AI-related challenges at his alma mater, bridging practical fieldwork with academic perspective.
Passionate about European-Turkish relations, he has long been interested in the historical and geopolitical dynamics shaping the region. His master’s thesis explored the strategic and ideological tensions between Soviet Russia and Turkey during the Cold War, examining how Ankara navigated its position between East and West. This research was later deepened during his time as a junior researcher at the French Institute for Anatolian Studies in Istanbul.
An avid musician, Alexis serves on the board of the Cercle National Richard Wagner in Paris. He also plays guitar, bağlama, and the oud. He speaks French, English, German, and is a beginner in Turkish.
