Civil society organisations, journalists, and human rights defenders across the Western Balkans and the European Union (EU) are facing increasing digital threats while lacking adequate protection.
The analysis is based on a needs assessment survey conducted as part of the project “Defending Digital Freedoms: Strengthening Civil Society Resilience against Digital Repression in Europe.” The survey collected 239 responses from 11 countries, including six Western Balkan countries and five EU member states.
