During the Global Solutions Summit from May 28 to 29 the Global Solutions Initiative brings visionaries and stakeholders from around the globe to Berlin to contribute their views and ideas to solving major global problems. Interested Mercator Alumni and Fellows can join the discussion by applying for the Young Global Changer Program and receive further support by Stiftung Mercator.
Are you a student or young professional currently developing an idea or working on a specific project you believe will make an impact? Are you interested in contributing to the debate on major G20 topics such as the future of work, sustainable development, food security, or migration? Are you interested in exchanging your views with other young visionaries, internationally renowned experts and nobel laureates? Then this year´s programme of the Global Solutions Initiative might be something for you!
The Global Solutions Initiative, a network of international think tanks, aims to address major global challenges by providing recommendations to world leaders and institutions, along with visions that guide policy-making. To include the views of the next generation, the Global Solutions Summit welcomes applications of young visionaries for the Young Global Changers programme or the Global Solutions Summer School.
Participants selected for the Summer School will take part in high-level special side events and have the extraordinary opportunity to meet Nobel Laureates and present their ideas and projects to internationally renowned experts.
Participants in the Young Global Changer programme will gain free access to the Global Solutions Summit with the opportunity to widen their network and join the debate with internationally renowned experts and like-minded people from all over the world.
Students and young professionals passionate about changing the world for the better are invited to apply for the Global Solutions Summit.

Please note you can only apply for one of the two programmes. Candidates who are not admitted to the Summer School will automatically be considered for the Young Global Changers programme instead.
Stiftung Mercator can offer a lump sum to cover travel expenses of its alumni and fellows, who have been successful in the application for any of the two programs. Only members of the Alumni Network of Stiftung Mercator are eligible for this travel subsidy. To be considered, please make you sure to quote "Stiftung Mercator Alumni Network" as reference in your online application. Successful applicants will be contacted by us after the application period and consultation with the event organizers.
