As of today, Stiftung Mercator has a Chinese version of its website, which puts the spotlight on the foundation’s activities relating to China and explains its goals and projects in this domain. China is one of the areas of regional focus within the international strategy of Stiftung Mercator.

“Stiftung Mercator wishes to make a long-term commitment to German-Chinese relations. Our goal is to foster dialogue and cultural exchange between Germany and China in order to improve mutual understanding”, explains Dr Bernhard Lorentz, chairman of the Stiftung Mercator board of directors. “As of today, we are giving Chinese-speaking visitors to our website the chance to obtain comprehensive information in their mother tongue about our strategy, our decision-making structures and our projects in China. This is how we wish to encourage dialogue.” Stiftung Mercator is currently investing around 2.5 million euros in projects in China and plans to step up its commitment still further.

The Chinese-language version can be accessed via the following link: www.stiftung-mercator.de/cn.
