A Grant Programme for Youth Organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia
13 youth organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia received the go-ahead at the beginning of 2009 to organize work camps for young people between the ages of 16 and 23 in conjunction with 26 international partners. A youth organization in North Rhine-Westphalia is now organizing three-week work camps in three successive years with two international partners.
Structure and Organization
The work camps will take place in summer 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively. Over these three years, each of the three partners will hold one work camp for around 30 participants. The work camps are organized by the project partners of Internationales Bildungs- und Begegnungswerk e.V. President of the North Rhine-Westphalian State Parliament, Regina van Dinther, is patron of the three-year programme.
Objectives
One objective of the project is to network youth organizations throughout Europe. The other is to promote the intercultural and social competence of the young participants and to focus on projects that deal with environmental issues.
